Business executives, civic organizers, and East Contra Costa commercial leaders will convene in Antioch on Wednesday, October 8, for the 2026 State of Business Luncheon. Hosted by the Antioch Chamber of Commerce, the annual civic summit will feature newly elected Antioch Mayor Ron Bernal as the keynote speaker. The assembly will examine regional economic development priorities, commercial waterfront revitalizations, and municipal infrastructure investments shaping the community's financial future.
The annual business luncheon offers a premier forum for local small-business owners, corporate employers, and municipal department heads to discuss downtown commercial expansion and regional employment growth. Attendees will gain direct insight into upcoming commercial developments along the Highway 4 corridor and municipal strategies to support retail retention throughout East Contra Costa County. The forum also provides valuable business networking opportunities, enabling entrepreneurs to establish valuable business partnerships and discuss workforce training programs.
The Antioch Chamber of Commerce has advocated on behalf of local merchants and industrial employers for more than eighty years, working alongside municipal leaders to foster local job creation. As Antioch continues to transition from an industrial river town into a diversified suburban economic hub, the annual State of Business event serves as a critical benchmark for municipal policy. Mayor Bernal, who previously served the city as public works director and city manager, brings extensive municipal governance experience to his keynote presentation on balanced municipal growth and civic accountability.
The luncheon will take place at the Lone Tree Golf and Event Center, located at 4800 Golf Course Road in Antioch, beginning with business check-in and networking at 11:30 AM, followed by the keynote address and luncheon program from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Admission is priced at $50 per person for active Antioch Chamber of Commerce members and $60 for non-member guests, with corporate sponsorship tables available for regional enterprises. Advance ticket reservations are required, and attendees can secure seats online through the chamber's official portal.
Chamber leadership will compile the mayor's economic policy announcements and audience question responses into a published municipal business summary for distribution to local business networks. Municipal officials will also host follow-up commercial roundtable discussions later this autumn to address merchant safety, street cleanliness, and storefront improvement grants. Business owners and residents wishing to reserve tickets or submit economic development inquiries in advance can contact the Antioch Chamber of Commerce at (925) 757-1800.
